John M. Gargano, 61, passed unexpectedly on July 24th surrounded by family and friends. Born in Providence, he was the son of John Gargano and the late Doris (Gervais) Gargano.
John was the husband of Donna (Cotton) Gargano, sharing lives for the past 29 years.
He was a member of the Laborers’ Union, Local 271, for 30 years before retiring. John was a longtime motorcyclist, animal lover and history buff.
Besides his wife and father he is survived by a daughter, Katelyn Gargano, a brother, Michael Gargano, his husband David Azulay, and a sister, Rosanne Gargano.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, July 27th at 10am in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 901 Atwells Ave, Providence, RI 02909. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation will be held Friday from 5pm until 8pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. All services Saturday start at church. Memorial gifts may be made to St. Jude Childrens’ Hospital (Stjude.org/donate) www.thekeefefuneralhome.com
